The educational, fun, and discovery-based learning experience that is the Morefield Explorer Scavenger Hunt is a great way for youth (ages 4-17) to learn about the history of Mesa Verde.

This free scavenger hunt asks and solves countless mysteries of the region, and really sheds an impressive light on the ingenuity and intelligence of the inhabitants that used to live in the region. Participants will explore thirty different educational stations that are scattered around the property, learning, for example, what the difference is between a petroglyph and a pictograph, and what local shrubs can be used to make shampoo (plus plenty of arguably less useful information).
