The Singer Tavern Lounge at Lake Crescent Lodge – Olympic National Park

Lake Crescent Lodge was originally named Singer’s Lake Crescent Tavern when established in 1913. This historic and charming property on the shores of Lake Crescent is located just 20 minutes outside of Port Angeles, Washington. Open April through the New Year, Lake Crescent Lodge offers cozy hospitality in a gorgeous setting.

Their Evergreen Gimlet features Rainier Mountain Fresh Gin, which is distilled in small batches in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Evergreen Gimlet

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Rainier Gin
  • 1 oz Rosemary Simple Syrup
  • 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice

Garnish

  • 1 Fresh cracked pepper, rosemary sprig

Instructions

  • Combine in shaker with ice, strain into a coupe or martini glass, and serve with garnish

Notes

Note: for Rosemary Simple Syrup, combine 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water and 5 fresh rosemary sprigs in a saucepan and bring to a boil until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let stand for 30 minutes before straining and discarding rosemary. Cover and chill for up to 1 month.

Driftwood Lounge at Lake Powell Resort – Glen Canyon National Recreation Area

At Lake Powell Resort, guests of the Driftwood Lounge enjoy stunning lake views, watching the boat traffic at Wahweap Marina and a menu of relaxed pub fare. This casual and relaxed restaurant is open year-round.

Enjoy their seasonal cocktail which offers bourbon combined with warm spices accented by a dash of molé bitters, which brings hints of Mexican chocolate, cinnamon and spice to this party in a glass.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Maker’s Mark Bourbon
  • 1 tsp Allspice Dram Liqueur
  • .25 oz Rich Demerara syrup
  • 1 Dash Molé Bitters
  • Zest Orange
  • Zest Lemon

Garnish

  • Star Anise

Notes

Combine in shaker, serve over ice in rocks glass with garnish.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz peppermint Schnapps
  • 1 oz Crème de Cacao
  • 6 oz Hot Chocolate

Garnish

  • whipped cream, cacao powder and crushed peppermint candies
