Hiking Togwotee Mountain Pass

Hiking Togwotee Mountain Pass

If you’re staying at or near Togwotee Mountain Lodge, there are countless world class hikes within a few short steps from your doorknob (or tent flap).

One of the more popular trails in the region is Angle Summit Trail, an easy to follow horse trail that takes you past the Togwotee lookout, through a few switchbacks and up to a beautiful summit view. The trip takes about four hours round trip.

If you’re looking for a little less altitude change, the Angle Meadow Loop is a great option. Starting the same way as the Angle Summit Trail but bending off before the climb, the trail takes you into beautiful meadows before looping back. Depending on the season, you’re likely to find incredible wildflowers.

For great views of the Teton Mountain Range, check out the Blackrock Creek Trail, a 3.5 mile loop that crosses “photograph hill”, a bucket-list worthy lookout that shows the entire Teton range in all its glory.

Of course there are literally hundreds of trails in the Grand Teton National Park to choose from, but the above are a great start to your Togwotee Pass adventures.
