What To Do at Lake Powell While Social Distancing

Fresh air and wide-open spaces — the perfect ingredients for a family-friendly vacation. If you’re ready to get outdoors while avoiding the crowds, Lake Powell may be the perfect destination.

In current times, spending time in nature is a great way to seek comfort from the stress of everyday life. Right now, visitors to Lake Powell can find places to stay, food to eat, and things to do while safely maintaining social distance. We’ve put procedures into place to help maintain the health and safety of visitors and staff.

If you’re planning a visit to Lake Powell soon, here’s everything you need to know.

What To Do at Lake Powell While Social Distancing

Powerboating on Lake Powell is great for water sports and taking in the scenes.

While physically distancing from others is still necessary, there’s still plenty of fun to be had at Lake Powell.

Take a Spin in a Powerboat

The best way to experience Lake Powell is from the water. With a rented powerboat, you can explore the side canyons and Rainbow Bridge National Monument, all on your own. Looking for something a little slower in pace that will also double as your home away from home? Check out our houseboats for rent.

Go Fishing

Kick back, relax, and cast a line to catch smallmouth bass, striped bass, walleye, bluegill, and others while you feast your eyes on the natural wonders around you at Lake Powell.

Hike

For those who want to get up close and personal with nature, there’s no better way than to head out for a hike. There are plenty of trails to choose from in both North and South Lake Powell.

Stargazing

Rainbow Bridge National Monument was designated an International Dark Sky Sanctuary in 2018, making for spectacular stargazing all around Lake Powell.
