Property Description
Willaby Campground
The very popular Willaby Campground on the south shore of Lake Quinault rests in the dense shade of Sitka spruce, Douglas fir, Western Hemlock, and Western Red Cedar trees, which provide a picture-perfect slice of temperate rainforest that the Olympic National Park is known for. The campsites at Willaby have great swimming and boating access to Lake Quinault and an easy trail to the nearby Quinault Lodge where you can rent Kayaks, Stand Up Paddleboards and Canoes. The Lodge has its very own restaurant where you can enjoy dinner with a view of the lake, and gift shop. Trails in the area include the Big Spruce Tree Trail, Forest Service Nature Trail, Kestner Homestead Trail and the Big Cedar Trail.
Falls Creek Campground
Falls Creek Campground is located on the south shore of Quinault Lake next to Falls Creek, a crystal clear stream, in the densely forested rainforest that surrounds Quinault Lake in Olympic National Park. A canopy of lush, big-leaf maple hangs over the campground with rainforest plants providing a scenic setting for a relaxing camp. The forested slopes of the Olympic National Park provide a scenic backdrop across Quinault Lake. The large, private campsite is located adjacent to historic Lake Quinault Lodge and includes boat ramp access to the lake and direct trail access for all your hiking and exploring needs.
Gatton Creek Campground
The Gatton Creek Campground is the smallest of the Lake Quinault Campgrounds, with only five walk-in campsites, three picnic units and 10 RV spots. The five sites are spread out along a short trail in the lakeside woodlands giving each campground a sense of privacy and direct access to the lake. It is located on the south shore of Quinault Lake right next to Gatton Creek, a small rainforest stream. From the campground you can access Gatton Creek Trailhead, which branches into the full trail system of Quinault National Recreational Area. The lakeside campsites are situated just inside the hardwood forest canopy, which helps provide shelter on warm or windy days. The picnic area is located at the mouth of Gatton Creek and has views of Upper Quinault Valley and Colonel Bob Wilderness.
