One of the biggest draws to Lake Powell is, obviously, the lake itself. Surrounded by gorgeous canyons and with over 186 miles of lake to explore, there’s plenty of space for any water-related adventures and thrill seeking you could dream of.
The two marinas, at Wahweap and Bullfrog, both offer powerboat and watercraft rentals. Ski boats, pontoon boats, and personal watercrafts are available at either a half-day or a daily rate, and add-ons such as tubes, wakeboards, waterskis, kneeboards, and even the appropriately named “The Disk” (a disk that acts as a big, circular wakeboard) are also available for renting. With its calm, warm waters, wide open expanses and enormous surface area, Lake Powell is a great place to learn how to wakeboard or waterski.
If a little slower is your speed, kayaking and paddleboarding are great ways to explore the lake. Both are available to rent at the marinas. Grab a few kayaks, pack your lunch and some drinks, and go paddle to a secret picnic spot of your creation.
