Biking Yosemite

Biking Yosemite

Yosemite is known for its beautiful valley floor, its stunning granite peaks, and its incredible wildlife. As a natural wonder, few can surpass Yosemite’s monumental size and breathtaking diversity. One of the best ways to experience this wonderful place is by bicycle.

As a valley, Yosemite Valley is, for the most part, flat, making it perfect for casual human-powered two-wheeled machines. There are 12 miles of designated bicycle paths in Yosemite, bringing you into contact with all the highlights of Yosemite.

From Curry Village, you can make your way leisurely to Mirror Lake, and to the stunning view of Half Dome in its water’s reflection. This easy 2-mile round trip is a great experience for all ages.

From Yosemite Valley Lodge, take the ride along the bike path across the meadow and over toward the Chapel on to Curry Village. The village is a great stop for a quick snack or a full meal and some shopping before hopping back on the road. Follow signs to Yosemite Village for a great little loop around the valley.
