Guided Tours of Yosemite

The guided bus tours available in Yosemite are some of the best ways to experience the wonders of the National Park. Two in particular are the Glacier Point Tour and the Yosemite Valley Tour.

Glacier Point draws people to its peak with promises of breathtaking beauty and views of Half Dome and the Valley floor below. The Glacier Point Tour is a four hour bus tour brings you to from that Valley floor all the way, 3200 feet up, to Glacier Point, along the way learning about the fascinating history of the region, its ecology, formation, and current designation as a National Park. Tickets can be found at the Yosemite Valley Lodge Tour Desk in the main lobby. If you’re interested, visitors can buy a one-way ticket that allows them to hike back to the Valley floor.

The Yosemite Valley Floor Tour is a shorter tour, at around 2 hours in length, and is available year round. Guests on this bus tour will enjoy an open-air tram ride (or heated and closed-air in the colder months) through the Valley floor, getting to see the highlights of Yosemite, including a great view of Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, El Capitan, Tunnel View, Bridalveil Fall and more. During the journey, experienced rangers will provide insights into the history of the region, its formation via glaciers, and its current protection.

Reservations for either adventure can be placed at any tour or activity desk in the park.
