Togwotee, Grand Tetons & Jackson Hole

Northwest Wyoming is a magnificent and beautiful landscape filled with all of the natural splendor that you could hope for in the wild west. The stunning peaks, raging rivers, calm wildflower meadows, and dense pine forests join together for an incomparable wilderness. And what can you do here? Just about anything.

A summertime favorite in the town of Jackson Hole, reaching back 100 years, is the Jackson Hole Rodeo, a fun and hilarious night out filled with all sorts of classic rodeo activities. Barrel racing, calf-roping, bull riding, saddle bronco riding, and bareback bronco riding make this an unforgettable classic adventure.

If you’re looking for a taste of the cowboy life yourself, the Wyoming Cowboy Campout is a super fun and immersive way to experience the wilderness, all from the back of your own horse (with a guide, of course). This journey is a two day experience, taking off from Togwotee Mountain Lodge in the morning, riding to a camping area on the shores of the Buffalo River, where you’ll hike, fish, explore and enjoy nature. That night, enjoy fireside dinner and camping under the stars. The next day after breakfast, you saddle up again for the journey back.

In the wintertime, one of the most adventurous ways to experience the snowy wilderness is by dogsled. Dog Sled Tours operated by Continental Divide Dog Sled Adventures are offered out of Togwotee Mountain Lodge and allow you a canine-led adventure that is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. These dogs let you connect with an ancient pastime (and mode of transportation), and let you guide the dogs yourself through the wooded paths.

Skiing and Shopping, too are popular around these parts. Jackson Hole is a famous skiing destination, and the shops nearby are great to putz around in.
